Rabies Clinics Scheduled

Rabies Clinics Scheduled

Hagerstown, MD- The Washington County Health Department will be holding two rabies clinics this spring. One will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at the Washington County Agricultural Center located at 7313 Sharpsburg Pike in Boonsboro, MD. The second will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Doubs Woos Park Art Pavilion at 1307 S. Potomac Street at the Downsville Pike in Hagerstown, MD.
The clinics will be held from 5-7pm and the cost is $5 per animal. The clinics will be held rain or shine. Volunteers from the Humane Society of Washington County will be working at the clinics. "This is a very important component in the welfare of pets in this county," said Paul Miller, executive director of the Humane Society of Washington County. He added, "Pet owners need to be aware that all dogs, cats, and ferrets in this county are required by law to have rabies vaccinations. These clinics will provide them the opportunity to have their pets inoculated for just $5 each."
Questions can be directed to the Washington County Health Department, Environmental Health, 13332 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742 or by calling 240-313-3400 TDD 240-313-3391 or by fax at 240-313-3424.
