Bunny Alert! Bunny Alert!

Bunny Alert! Bunny Alert!

Hagerstown, MD- Anyone interested in owning a pet rabbit should visit the Humane Society of Washington County. Currently there are 6 lovely bunnies available for adoption.
Four litter-trained complete with cages and water bowls were recently brought to the HSWC. They join the two rabbits already living at the HSWC. Included in the current collection of rabbits are: one giant rabbit, one loop eared, one Aussie, one chinchilla, and two miniature rabbits.
Dr. Tracy Barlup of Longmeadow Animal Hospital feels that rabbits make excellent pets for a number of reasons. "They are relatively easy to care for and can be litter box-trained. Their fastidious nature, unaggressive behavior and quiet manner make them increasingly popular house pets." She added that the average lifespan of a rabbit is 5-10 years. You can read more about owning a rabbit in the HSWC newsletter at www.hswcmd.org.
