4th Annual Pooch Plunge

4th Annual Pooch Plunge

The 4th Annual Pooch Plunge at Potterfield Pool will be held on Wednesday, September 5th from 6-9pm at the Claude M. Potterfield Pool, 730 Frederick Street in Hagerstown, Maryland.
This year's event benefits Charlie's Fund, which was established in 2005 in memory of Charlie a poodle that was poisoned by a neighbor in the Black Rock Development. Adopted from the Humane Society of Washington County by the Eric Rosenthal family, Charlie had become an integral part of their family and his loss is still felt today.
To honor the memory of Charlie, the Rosenthal's established Charlie's Fund to assist pet owners with the financial cost of having their animals tested for possible poisoning and to help promote humane treatment of animals. "We hope this event will raise funds for Charlie's Fund and will help promote awareness of the importance of the human/canine bond," stated Eric Rosenthal. He added, "Charlie was a typical poodle and loved to swim. I know he would have loved this."
Admission to the event for 1 dog plus 1 handler is $3.00. Additional humans or pets will be $2.00 each. For more information, contact the HSWC at 301-733-2060, x237.
