Skin and the Sun

Survey: Tanned Skin Losing its Appeal
Fifty-three percent of Americans who participated in a recent survey say they don't look better with a tan, and 63 percent say they are not more attracted to someone who is tan. Just in time for summer, a new survey by iVillage in partnership with The Skin Cancer Foundation shows that the appeal of tanned skin may be waning. Unfortunately, the survey also shows that far too few people regularly use sunscreen.
Do You Know what the Seal Means?

To earn The Skin Cancer Foundation Seal of Recommendation, a manufacturer must prove that its product sufficiently and safely "aids in the prevention of sun-induced damage to the skin."
Skin Cancer Screening Tour is On the Road
