Boonsboro High Team Places 2nd at Physics Olympics

The Boonsboro High School team won a number of honors at the University of Maryland Physics Olympics on Saturday, April 21, 2007, including 2nd place overall out of 14 teams competing. In eight individual events, Boonsboro finished 1st in the "Open and Closed Tubes" mystery event, aided by the musical skills of Chris Heim. The team placed 2nd in three other events: Solar Furnace, Egg Drop, and Optics Orgy. Boonsboro earned 3rd place in the Balloon Powered Car event.
Students participating were Chris Heim, Jeremy Lantz, Sam McClernon, Caitlynn Wolfe, and Michael Hull.
