Smithsburg Middle School - Congratulations goes to Paige Dayhoff for winning first place in theWashington County Heritage Museum Art Contest. Paige received a certificate and check for $50 for her winning entry.
Students at E. Russell Hicks Middle School will be collecting school supplies to benefit the non-profit program, Operation Iraqi Children, which provides necessary educational resources for children in the war-torn country. The collection campaign will be begin Wednesday, May 9, 2007, and continue through the 30th. All donated supplies will be sent to the Operation Iraqi Children warehouse in Missouri, where kits will be assembled and sent to our armed forces in Iraq. Our military personnel will distribute the kits to the local villages in Iraq. Supplies will be collected at the school, at 1321 South Potomac Street, Hagerstown.

Tech High, Tuesday, June 5, 7pm, HCC's ARCC

Clear Spring High, Thursday, June 7, 7pm, Clear Spring High
Williamsport High, Thursday, June 7, 7pm, HCC's ARCC
Boonsboro High, Friday, June 8, 9pm, HCC's ARCC
North High, Tuesday, June 8, 10am, North High
South High, Tuesday, June 8, 11:30am, South High
Smithsburg High, Tuesday, June 8, 2pm, Maryland Theatre
Approximately 1,100 WCPS students will receive diplomas during these ceremonies.
Paramount Elementary School's Jump Rope for Heart - 2007 was a great success. There were 209 jumpers and $11,646.03 was raised. Special congratulations to Rachel Moats for winning the "jump rope for heart" trophy for raising the most money!
