Travel Happiness: Family Vacations
I remember taking our grandchildren to Europe some years ago. They were probably 8 and 10 years old. We took a wonderful tour that included air accommodations, some meals, and sightseeing. If you ask them today, some 15 years later, I guarantee you they will remember the trips as if yesterday. Even I recall little things like eating lunch at McDonalds in Rome, our first view of the Alps and the snow, the Eiffel Tower, and, of course, the changing of the Guard in London.
I had decided to travel with my family, particularly the grandchildren, early so I could give them an education of other places and people, but also memories of the family sharing and being together. The money spent there could never replace the value we received.
In 2006, I noticed a company who is specializing on Family Travel and I thought I might encourage you to think of inviting the family to participate in a memorable experience. Here are a few ideas of some offerings.
1. A 12-day Europe Tour starting in Rome and ending in London; with Florence, Venice, Lucerne, Paris and London. Very similar to what I did with our grandchildren. A wonderful comprehensive tour with a tour manager--worry free.
2. Hawaii Splendor- A 10-day Tour to Oahu, Kauai, and Maui with features such as Pearl Harbor, Sea Life Park, even surfing lessons, time to relax and enjoy the beach, sightseeing which includes Waimea Canyon, the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific", optional horseback riding on the beach, Lei making, and of course, the Luau Feast. A great summer vacation in Paradise.
3. A 8-day Canyon Country Adventure featuring the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Lake Powell, Bryce and Zion National Parks with a day in Scottsdale to begin the tour and a night in Las Vegas to end the trip. This one is full of special features such as hiking, a Four-Wheel Drive Tour, Monument Valley, a float trip on the Colorado River, horseback riding in Bryce Canyon, and hiking in Zion National Park.
4. A 9-day California Coast Vacation starting in San Francisco and ending in San Diego with stops at Monterey, Santa Barbara, and Long Beach. How about kayaking in Monterey, Hollywood Walk of Fame and Ghost Tour, behind the scenes at Universal Studios and the famous San Diego Zoo. Departures are available mid-June to mid-August.
Don't put it off; give your family a gift that will be remembered for a lifetime. Call today and I'll send you our "FAMILY VACATIONS 2006" catalog.
