Master Gardener Plant Sale

Chambersburg, PA: The Fourteenth Annual Plant Sale held by the Master Gardeners of the Penn State Cooperative Extension of Franklin County will be held on Friday, May 28th from 3-6pm at the Extension office, located at the demonstration and trial gardens on Franklin Farm Lane in Chambersburg. For more details on the plant sale, call the Extension office at 717-263-9226.
Master Gardeners from throughout Franklin County have dug a wide variety of plants for the Master Gardeners' Plant Sale, all of which will be available at very reasonable prices. Plants of special interest include native, heirloom and drought-tolerant plants. Varieties of perennials will include species suitable for both shade (such as columbine and jacob_s ladder) and sun (iris, daisies, rudbeckia and echinachea, among many others). Vegetable plants will include many varieties of tomatoes not available at garden centers. Shrubs such as lilacs and forsythia will be available, as well as herbs and ground covers. All plants being sold have been raised in the area, and many are divisions taken directly from the local volunteers' gardens.
For more information concerning the fourteenth annual Master Gardener Plant Sale, call the Penn State Cooperative Extension office at 263-9226.
