Reflections! They? Who Are They?

They? Who Are They?
By William L. Bulla

We often hear people talking about "they." "They" said to do this! Or, "they" said to do that! And usually fail to tell you who "they" really are. We hear that all the time. "They say we may have some rain tonight!
"Who's "they"?
They say we should do this!" We get it from our family, our friends, and many other sources. Who are "They"? And where do they get their information.
Jemma Griffiths, a Welsh singer - songwriter, better known as "Jem", asks these same questions in her hit song, "They".
Who made up all the rules?
We follow them like fools.
Believe them to be true,
Don't care to think them through.
And it's ironic too,
'Cuz what we tend to do
Is act on what they say,
And then it is that way!
Do you see what I see?
Why do we
Live like this?
Is it because it's true
That ignorance is bliss?
Who are they?
Where are they?
How do they know all this?
I'm sorry, So sorry!
I'm sorry, We do this!
Yes, often, we go around acting on the advice of "they" without really knowing who "they" are! What would we have done if "they" were not around? "They" say! "They" do! Did "they" tell us too do the right thing ... or the wrong thing? Often we may follow the advice "they" give and regret what we have done.
So often we listen to what "they" said and never question whether it is what God has said. We listen to the 'theys" of our world rather than to God.
So the next time the "theys" of this world tell us what to do, let us be sure it is in accordance with His command.
