Wisdom From a Furry Friend: Super Senior

Wisdom From a Furry Friend
Super Senior

Hi there! My name is Geegee and I am a lovely 6-year-old female beagle mix. I am very sweet and love attention. I give the bestest kisses every. I snort when I kiss and that makes them very special. I may be a little older but I still have lots of love to give a new family. And did you know that there is a special price for seniors who are adopted? Ruff. If you adopt a senior the adoption price is only $50 and if the person who adopts a senior is a senior (over 55) then the price $25. You only add $15 for rabies shots and $5 for a dog license. What a great incentive to take home a senior pet!
Don't worry because they are calling me a senior. Beagles are very hardy and we have long life spans so I will be around to give loads of love to my family for quite some time. I am already spayed so I can go home very quickly if someone comes by and decides I would be a perfect fit for their family.
You know, it is getting close to that fun but sometimes-scary holiday Halloween - fun for people but scary for us pets. Please remember to keep us indoors during the festivities. Sometimes people think it is funny to tease animals that are outside on Halloween night but that is not nice. So, make sure we are safe by keeping us inside. Be sure to keep us in a safe and secure place inside of the house. It should be an area that we cannot easily get out of.
We should always wear identification so that if we do get outside and we become lost the people who find us can call and get us home quickly and safely. So be sure we are wearing a collar with identification tags at all times.
Remember to keep us away from the candy and the candles. Candy is not good for pets. It contains things we don't normally eat and it can make us very sick. Even wrappers can be dangerous. Those crackly wrappers seem to be such fun to chew but they sure can upset our tummies if we eat them. So, it is best to keep them away from us all the time.
Candles are always a danger and sometimes people forget that there are candles inside of pumpkins. If we knock over a candle or a pumpkin with a candle inside of it we could get hurt and so could our family members. So, take the right steps to keep us safe this Halloween.
If you think you might like to see my smiling face in your window please come meet me. You might just fall in love and want to take me home for the holiday.
