Suns to Raffle off Game-Used Jerseys with Coke Products

Hagerstown, MD: In one of the most iconic commercials in Super Bowl broadcast history, a young football fan gives up a refreshing bottle of Coca-Cola in exchange for the shirt off the back of Pittsburgh Steelers legend "Mean Joe" Greene.
For the rest of the 2009 season, Hagerstown Suns fans will be able to have their jersey and drink Coke, too.
Starting at their next home game -- a 7:05pm. Feed Your Face Monday against Rome on August 10 -- the Suns will partner with Coca-Cola to give fans the opportunity to take part in a nightly game-used Suns jersey raffle for just $1.00 with the purchase of a bottled Coca-Cola product.
"Our fans have been a part of six sellouts at Municipal Stadium this season, and to show our appreciation, we are uncovering a plethora of different jerseys from throughout Suns history and making them available to our fan base," Suns' Director of Food & Beverage Nick Bilski said. "Judging from the amount of Coke product we've gone through in 2009, there is no better way to raffle off these jerseys than by tying them to the purchase of fan-favorite Coca-Cola beverages."
For just one additional dollar on top of the purchase of any bottled Coke product -- $3.50 for a bottled Dasani water or $4.50 for a bottled soda -- Suns fans will receive a raffle ticket along with their drink.
The raffle will run through the seventh inning each night at concession stands throughout the stadium, and shortly thereafter that night's winning raffle number will be announced, and a lucky fan will go home with a retro Suns jersey of his or her choice. A jersey will be raffled off at each of the Suns' 19 remaining home games.
The Hagerstown Suns play at Municipal Stadium in Hagerstown, MD and are a Class "A" affiliate of the Washington Nationals. Ticket packages and sponsorships are available by calling the Suns at 301-791-6266. Visit the Suns on the web at The Suns are owned by Los Angeles based Mandalay Baseball Properties.
