Black Rock Golf Course Back as Official Course of the Suns

Hagerstown, MD: The Black Rock Golf Course will once again serve as the official golf course of the Hagerstown Suns for the 2009 season, the Suns announced Wednesday.
"The Suns enjoyed a great season partnering with Black Rock in 2008, and we look forward to having their support as a sponsor for many years to come," team president Robert Flannery said. "With Black Rock located just a couple miles away from Municipal Stadium, they are a perfect fit as the official golf course of the Suns."
Located at 20025 Mt. Aetna Road in Hagerstown - just an eight-minute drive down the road from Municipal Stadium - Black Rock Golf Course has received a Four-and-a-half Star rating from Golf Digest Magazine. Black Rock also made Golf Digest's list of the Top Fifty public golf courses for US metro areas of 250,000 people or less.
"Black Rock Golf Course and the Hagerstown Suns enjoy a special relationship," said Darrell Whittington, Director of Golf for Black Rock. "We are excited to have this partnership again, glad to welcome back Suns players and staff, and look forward to the annual Hagerstown Suns golf tournament."
This will be Black Rock's eighth season as the official golf course of the Suns. Black Rock is a public golf course, owned by the Citizens of Washington County, with eighteen holes and a golf shop offering equipment and apparel.
