Suns Announce New Sausage, Steak, and Hamburger Providers

Hagerstown, MD: American Foods Group will be the official sausage, steak, and hamburger provider of the Hagerstown Suns for the 2009 and 2010 seasons, the Suns announced Thursday.
As part of the deal, Suns fans will enjoy a variety of fresh meats supplied by a trio of American Food's Group's finest private-labeled brands. The flavorful offerings of the Sheboygan Sausage Company, Big City Steaks, and Great American Hamburgers will all be appearing on menus at the Suns concession stands starting this season.
"The Suns are thrilled to be partnering with the American Foods Group in our ongoing mission to provide our fans with the best-quality food in Minor League Baseball," Suns' Director of Food and Beverage Nick Bilski said. "We are truly adding three of the finest meats available to our stadium offerings for the next two seasons."
The Sheboygan Sausage Company is one of the fastest-growing sausage brands in the nation, having provided its customers with a diverse line of sausage products since 1933. Big City Steaks specializes in the ribeye cut, guaranteeing tenderness and a product that is 92% fat-free. Last but not least, Great American Hamburgers delivers 100% ground beef patties made from hand-selected cuts.
Bill Miller, of the American Foods Group, was equally excited about the opportunity to bring his company's line of meats to a new audience at Municipal Stadium.
"I've been down to Hagerstown, and I know they have a neat little older ballpark," Miller said. "We think it has a lot character and we're really looking forward to this partnership as a company."
The Suns kick off the home portion of their 2009 campaign at Municipal Stadium on Monday, April 13 at 6:35pm against the Delmarva Shorebirds.
