Where to Dine in Washington County

Along with its long and impressing history, fabulous arts and entertainment, and beauty, Washington County offers a diverse range of foods. Whether you are looking for a new experience all-together, dinner with entertainment, or home-style country cooking, Washington County has just what your taste buds are hungering for and within everyone's budget. Within miles of each other visitor's can easily find many family eateries, pubs, bar and grills, diners, delis, fast food chains, and sit-down dining restaurants.
Without naming them all, I have put together a few of my personal favorites.
Duffy's on Potomac
28 S. Potomac Street, Downtown Hagerstown * 301-745-6648 * www.duffysonpotomac.com * Open Daily. This upscale American Cuisine restaurant has live entertainment, events, and serves lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch as well as alcoholic beverages.
The Gourmet Goat and GG's Restaurant
41 N. Potomac Street, Downtown Hagerstown * 301-790-2343 * www.thegourmetgoat.com * Open Daily. This beautifully-designed restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and alcoholic beverages.
The Plum
6 Rochester Place, Downtown Hagerstown * 301-791-1717 * Open Monday-Friday. Almost hidden behind large downtown buildings, this quaint restaurant serves as a gourmet deli and serves breakfast and lunch.
Skyline Coffee Company
2 W. Washington Street, Hagerstown * 301-739-0488 * Open Monday-Saturday * www.skylinecoffeeco.com. This stylish coffeehouse serves coffees, teas, pastries, and organics.
Washington County Playhouse Dinner Theater
44 N. Potomac Street, Hagerstown * 301-739-7469 * www.washingtoncountyplayhouse.com * Open Friday-Sunday.
Along with live entertainment, the playhouse serves dinner Friday-Saturday with a matinee on Sunday as well as alcoholic beverages.
The Grille at Park Circle
325 Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown * 301-797-9100 * Open Tuesday-Saturday. Located by the Hagerstown City Park, this restaurant is great if you are looking for a restaurant or bar scene with live entertainment. They serve lunch and dinner as well as alcoholic beverages.
Texas Roadhouse
120 S. Edgewood Drive, Hagerstown * 301-739-2200 * Open Daily. This steakhouse serves lunch and dinner as well as alcoholic beverages.
Crazy Horse
116 Railway Lane, Hagerstown * 301-791-2611 * Open Daily. This steakhouse is "A Real Taste of the Old West" serving choice steaks and exotic game dishes. They have a sports lounge with a wide screen TV, entertainment every Friday and Saturday night.
