Williamsport High School Student Earns Membership to National Society of High School Scholars

HAGERSTOWN, MD- Williamsport High School senior John E. Roberts, Jr. has been selected for membership to the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS). The Society recognizes academic excellence at the high school level, and since formed in 2002 by Claes Nobel, of the Swedish Nobel family, the Society has inducted more than 150,000 members, representing 15,000 high schools in 20 countries.
John moved to Washington County from Texas prior to this school year. Counselor Randy Longnecker says, "John has been a wonderful addition to our school and a very dedicated student. He'll be very successful in his future endeavors."
NSHSS membership entitles qualified students to enjoy a wide variety of benefits, including scholarship opportunities, academic competitions, member-only resources, and participation in programs offered by educational partners.
