Suns Announce New 2-Year Radio Deal

Suns Announce New 2-Year Radio Deal

The Hagerstown Suns are proud to announce that WICL Cool 95.9FM, a Prettyman Broadcasting station, will serve as the new flagship station for Suns' radio broadcasts. The two-year deal covers all baseball games during the Suns 2007 and 2008 seasons. All 140 games each season will air live on Cool 95.9FM, marking the club's first foray into FM radio in the tri-state community. In addition, all games are available over the Internet at www.hagerstownsuns.com.
95.9's signal reaches as far west as Hancock, Maryland and as far east as Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It travels north of Chambersburg, PA and as far south as Winchester, VA.
Suns General Manager Will Smith is pleased with the new affiliation, "Our new partnership with Cool 95.9 allows the Suns broadcasts to reach Suns fans regionally and not just locally. I was amazed to receive the signal at Dulles International Airport this past weekend while traveling. I felt proud that Nationals fans throughout the region will be able to tune in and listen to our Suns, and their Nationals of tomorrow."
"We're extremely excited to be a part of the Hagerstown community through our partnership with Suns," said Norm Slemenda, General Manager for Prettyman Broadcasting.
With the exciting announcement of a multi-year partnership with Cool 95.9FM comes a bittersweet ending to a 10-year partnership with WHAG 1410AM. After a remarkable run of a decade, the Suns and WHAG will amicably part ways with each excited about their future endeavors.
