Christmas Tree Removal

The City of Hagerstown's Department of Public Works will begin collection of Christmas trees as noted in the schedule. All ornaments, tinsel, lights or other decorations "must be removed" from the tree. Otherwise, the tree will not be collected.
- Monday, January 8 and Tuesday, January 9, 2007 - Northwest Quadrant: From the west side of North Potomac Street to the north side of West Washington Street (Rt. 40) and all areas in between.
- Wednesday, January 10, 2007 - Northeast Quadrant: From the north side of East Washington Street (Rt. 40) to the east side of North Potomac Street and all areas in between.
- Thursday, January 11, 2007 - Southwest Quadrant: From the south side of West Washington Avenue (Rt. 40) to the east side of South Potomac Street and all areas in between.
- Friday, January 12, 2007 - Southeast Quadrant: From the east side of South Potomac Street to the south side of East Washington Street (Rt. 40) and all areas in between.
Residents may place their tree at the curb in front of their residence as early as 4pm the day before their scheduled collection date and no later than 7am on their scheduled collection date. The Department of Public Works will be collecting Christmas trees only. No other debris placed by the curb will be picked up by this department.
