Debris clearing at Harpers' Ferry Road temporarily closes bridge

Debris clearing at Harpers' Ferry Road temporarily closes bridge

The Washington County Department of Highways has announced that the stone arch bridge over the Antietam Creek on Harper's Ferry Road at Limekiln Road will be closed from 7am to 3pm each day over the next several days, while removal of storm debris takes place.
The Harper's Ferry Bridge is the last in the line of historic structures spanning the creek from the Pennsylvania line to the Potomac River. Clean up work will continue at bridges along the creek's run for the next several weeks.
Additional information will be released and posted on closings and detours as necessary. Signs have been posted marking the closure and detours in the area.
