Employees at R. Paul Smith Power Station make safety a family affair

Employees at Allegheny Energy Supply's R. Paul Smith Power Station, in Williamsport, Md., recently honored the daughters of two employees as winners in their Kid's Safety Slogan Poster Contest. Renee Johnsson, 9, from Boonsboro, Md., and Hadley Giles, 7, from Fairplay, Md. are the winners. Renee and Hadley were presented with awards at a dinner reception held at the station in their honor. The contest, designed to get employees' family and friends involved with choosing a safety message for the station, was open to children age 12 and younger. The R. Paul Smith Safety Committee chose the winning posters and turned them into safety billboards that will be displayed near the employee entrance of the station for approximately one-year.
