Final FY 2011 pavement maintenance list announced

Several times during the spring, this page has reported on progress of the current County Pavement Maintenance Program outlining areas to be paved by type of paving treatment.
Now, the Washington County Division of Public Works, Department of Engineering and Construction has announced the proposed schedule for Chip Seal, Scrub Seal and Fog Seal application for the spring construction season.
During the next few weeks, residents may expect to see Chip Seal paving activity by contractors on: Millstone Road from the Interstate 70 West Bound Ramp (Exit 5) to Millstone Circle and Orchard Ridge Road; Millstone Circle from Millstone Road and Orchard Ridge Road to the Dead End; Orchard Ridge Road from Millstone Road and Millstone Circle to Slabtown Road; Corner Road from Orchard Ridge Road to the pavement transition; Corner Road from the pavement transition to the end of pavement; Pecktonville Road from Galilee Road to Moorseville Road and Kuhns Ridge Road; Park Head Road from Pecktonville Road to Galilee Road; Galilee Road from Park Head Road to the beginning of pavement; Galilee Road from Pecktonville Road to the end of pavement; Little Galilee Road from Pecktonville Road to the end of pavement; Remsburg Road from Taylors Landing Road to Bowie Road; Bowie Road from Mondell Road to Taylors Landing Road.
Scrub Seal will take place on Pecktonville Road from the National Pike to Galilee Road.
Fog Seal application will take place on Cool Hollow Road from Alternate U.S. 40 (Old National Pike) to U.S. Route 40 (National Pike); Thomas Drive from Alt. 40 to the Dead End Cul-de-sac; Homer Drive from Thomas Drive to Carrie Court; Carrie Court from the Dead End Cul-de-sac to the Dead End Cul-de-sac; Granada Lane from Marsh Pike to the Dead End Cul-de-sac; Tropicana Drive from Granada Lane to Blossom Lane; Granada Court from Tropicana Drive to the Dead End Cul-de-sac; and Blossom Lane from Marsh Pike to the Dead End.
The latest round of pavement maintenance got underway on May 16 and will be completed by June 30. The Pavement Maintenance program for Fiscal Year 2012 begins on July 1st.
