All County Orchestra Concert at North High on January 29

All County Orchestra Concert at North High on January 29

Hagerstown, MD (January 3, 2011): The annual Washington County Public Schools All County Middle and High School Orchestra concert will be presented on Saturday, January 29, 2011, at 7:30pm, at North Hagerstown High School. Tickets are $4 in advance and available from any participating middle and senior high school student and director, or $5 at the door. Senior citizen Gold Cards will be honored.
Guest conductor for the all county high school orchestra will be long time Maryland Symphony Orchestra music director, Elizabeth Schulz. Petr Skopek will be the guest conductor for the all county middle school orchestra. Mr. Skopek was born in Prague, Czech Republic, and moved with his family to the United States when he was 12, settling in Frederick County, Maryland. He has been an orchestra director in the Frederick County public schools for the past eight years and is a member of the Maryland Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Skopek's credentials also include numerous teaching, conducting and performance experiences across the country.
