Water customers may experience low pressure due to upgrades

Hagerstown, MD (December 20, 2010): The City of Hagerstown's Water Division will be performing work on the transmission system, beginning at 11pm on Wednesday, December 29. Customers may experience low water pressure and some minor discoloration during the early morning hours. The minor discoloration is a result of a change in flow, and all regulatory standards will be met. The work is expected to be completed at approximately 4am on Thursday morning, December 30. Emergency Operations has been notified of the work and the potential of lower water pressure in the service area. Individuals who have questions can call 301-739-8577 ext. 690 during normal working hours or 301-223-7424 after normal working hours.
