City of Hagerstown Advisory: 911 Center Opening

City of Hagerstown Advisory
911 Center Opening

Hagerstown, MD (January 7, 2010) - With the opening of the new Washington County 911 Center, all emergency calls will be received by and dispatched from the new facility. These will include fire, rescue and police. The old emergency number for the Hagerstown Police Department Dispatch Center (301-739-6000) will be phased out. In the short term, the old emergency number will connect to the 911 operator. The Hagerstown Police Department is requesting callers to use 911 for all emergencies as the old number will necessitate dialing 10 digits prior to rolling over to the 911 operator.
