Maugans Avenue Waffle House Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Maugans Avenue Waffle House Celebrates 10th Anniversary

(Hagerstown, MD)- The very first Waffle House restaurant to open in the State of Maryland is celebrating a special anniversary.
The Maugans Avenue Waffle House will celebrate its 10th anniversary on November 17th. In honor of the anniversary and other customer awareness events, the Waffle House is announcing special Customer Appreciation Days now until November 17.
"We will be offering a variety of events during our customer appreciation days," said franchise owner Darrell Fowler.
The Waffle House kicked off its anniversary celebration on November 8 with a customer awareness event. The franchise presented a check to Breast Cancer Awareness - Cumberland Valley, Inc. (BCA-CV). BCA-CV is a non-profit agency serving the tri-state area by offering early detection programs for women and support for breast cancer patients.
During Customer Appreciation Days, waffles will be featured for just 99 cents at the Maugans Avenue Waffle House.
"Waffles are our most popular item on the menu," said Fowler, "and this is our way of rewarding our loyal customers, as well as bringing in some new ones."
Also during Customer Appreciation Days, the Waffle House will celebrate the end of the county road construction project on Maugans Avenue.
The Waffle House is a US restaurant chain with over 1500 stores found in 25 states. Most Waffle House restaurants are located in the south, where the very popular chain remains a cultural icon. The first Waffle House opened on Labor Day weekend of 1955 in Avondale Estates, Georgia. The restaurant idea was conceived and founded by Joe Rogers, Sr. and Tom Forkner, who both continue to own a majority of the company today.
The Maugans Avenue Waffle House is located at 13612 Crayton Boulevard, Hagerstown, Maryland, 21742. For additional information about the 10th anniversary celebration, call the Waffle House at 301-766-9251.
