Future Business Leaders of America Hosts "The Fastest Hands in the South" Keyboarding Contest"

The South Hagerstown High School Chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America held its annual "Fastest Hands in the South" keyboarding competition. First-year and second-year keyboarding students worked diligently for two weeks to quality for the competition.
First-year students were required to key a five-minute timed writing of average difficulty as fast as possible. Rachael Toms placed first keying 110 GWAM (gross words per minute). Second-place contestant was Stephanie Jones, 50 GWAM; and tied for third place, Regina Marshall and Brittany Funk, 41 GWAM.
Second-year students were given a 5-minute timed writing at a more difficul level of keying. First-place conestant was Charles Boyer keying 74 GWAM; Chris Bell placed second keying 55 GWAM; and Stephanie Edwards placed third keying 45 GWAM.
Cash awards given: first place finalists received $20; second place received $10 and third place received $5.
Future Business Leaders of American-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc.
