Craft vendors wanted for Autumn Arts Festival

Hagerstown, MD: If you have a niche for arts and crafts, the City of Hagerstown invites you to share your gift with others through the Fifth Annual Autumn Arts Festival.
"For the past five years, traditional and modern craft vendors have showcased their work at Autumn Arts," said John Bryan, Recreation Services Coordinator for the City of Hagerstown. "We want to encourage past vendors, as well as, those who have not participated in the festival before to come out for the fifth annual event as we celebrate the start of fall with the community."
The Autumn Arts Festival is free to the public and is scheduled to be in Hagerstown's City Park, September 17th & 18th from 10AM to 5PM. Interested craft vendors who live in Washington County can participate for 25 dollars, and out of county vendors can show their work for 50 dollars. The fee reserves a 15' by 15' space, and vendors supply their display.
In addition to the arts & crafts display, the festival highlights local artists through art demonstrations and exhibits, living history encampments, railroading displays, children's activities, live music, food and more.
The Autumn Arts Festival spans City Park with exhibits at the Jonathan Hager House, the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, the Mansion House Art Galley and the Railroad Museum. All children's activities at the Museum of Fine Arts are being co-sponsored by the Museum membership and the Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitor's Bureau.
Several bands from around the tri-state area will perform on the Hager House stage on Saturday and Sunday including: Voxology, "Sassafrazz" featuring Mary Dailey and Bob Adams, Jay Armsworthy and Eastern Tradition and the Stoney Creek Bluegrass Band. On Saturday, Tori Anderson and Possum Holler sponsored by Susquehanna Bank will perform at 4:30PM in the City Park Bandshell. A full schedule of events will be detailed in a subsequent release.
