Activities for all Ages as "Taste of the Arts" blooms in Downtown Chambersburg

Chambersburg, PA - Flowers in bloom will be the springtime theme as the May 6th "Taste of the Arts" begins the year's First Friday Art Walks in Chambersburg. "Taste of the Arts" will be held in downtown Chambersburg from 5-8pm on the 6th, and is sponsored by CenturyLink and presented by the Downtown Business Council and Council for the Arts of Chambersburg.
"We'll have floral displays by many local flower vendors." explained Downtown Business Council director Tina Flohr. "North Square Farmers' Market vendors will set up along North Main Street, and we'll provide a flower-themed make-and-take craft for kids at Kerrstown Square."
"Taste of the Arts" is a collaboration of many local organizations: the Chambersburg Cardinals football team will be on hand to help with the children's craft projects, and Chambersburg Garden Club will be represented by a group of its members providing information and garden-related items for sale.
First Friday visitors can enjoy the music of the Hershey Symphony at a 7 pm concert at the Capitol Theatre, presented by Chambersburg Community Concerts. Tickets are available at the door.
Artists interested in participating in First Friday's should call Anne Finucane at 717-267-1396. For more information about First Friday events, call Tina Flohr at 261-0072.
