Antietam Recreation's Valentine's special

Antietam Recreation's Valentine's special

The Valentine Special will open February 4th and will include eight show dates, closing on February 19th. Star Elvis impersonator, twenty two year old Tim Rotz, born and raised in Hagerstown, Maryland, is the director and producer of the Valentine's Special. He has performed and directed, for many years, Antietam Recreation's Cowboy Christmas Shows.
The elegant and delicious Italian candlelight dinner is in a romantic and beautifully decorated setting. Pre-dinner activities include valentine portraits, gift shop with tasty samples, marshmallow roasting over the open fire, and gourmet chocolate fondue. During the meal Tim Rotz will sing live some of the most loved songs of Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble'. Following the meal is the spectacular variety show including the classics of Broadway, County, and Gospel with talented dancers and captivating vocalists. Tim Rotz wraps up the enchanting evening with the electrifying appearance of Elvis singing some of his most popular hits like "Jailhouse Rock, Can't Help Falling in Love" and All Shook Up.
Included in the talented lineup will be Hannah Richardson, age 9, of Waynesboro, Pa. Nashville 1st place talent winner in a spotlight series held at the Nashville Palace in Dec. singing, "I Wanna be a Rockette" (first sung at Antietam Recreation's Valentine Special). In November, Hannah won the Pigeon Forge Tennessee Country Music Association Performer and Vocalist of the year award. She will represent Tennessee in the International Country Music Association Talent Contest to be held in Pigeon Forge in March.
Also in the show is singer Jessica Snyder, age 16, of Frederick, MD. She has been singing and acting her entire life and has been in many productions including "A Christmas Carol, Bye Bye Birdie, The Goodbye Girl, and It's a Wonderful Life." This past March she was chosen as one of the top 5 finalists in Washington County "Teen Idol" contest.
Dancers returning on stage again this year are the Shirk Sister Trio, consisting of Rebekah, Kaitlyn, and Sarah Shirk. Rebekah is the owner of On Stage Performance, a local dance and tumbling studio.
With the comedy team of Rick Collins and Bester Elementary Teacher Kevin Sandell you'll need to be ready with lots of laughs. The cast includes a variety of other performers.
The 6-9:30 show will run Fridays and Saturdays starting February 4th thru February 19th as well as Sunday Feb. 13 and Valentine's Day Monday Feb. 14th.
