Check presented to REACH Cold Weather Shelter; Hagerstown-Washington County CVB joins with NFL cheerleader

(Hagerstown, MD): The Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau was the main financial sponsor of a fashion show, which raised money for the local Cold Weather Shelter. The shelter was presented a check for $600 by NFL Seattle Seahawks cheerleader and Hagerstown native Danielle Wagner.
The fashion show was held to help bring people to the downtown area of Hagerstown, and the December 4th fundraiser benefited the REACH Cold Weather Shelter. The event was held at the Bulls and Bears Restaurant.
The official check presentation ceremony was held just before Christmas.
Danielle Wagner is a Seattle Seahawk NFL cheerleader, and was pleased to participate in the check presentation. "At this time of year, it's important to help these people who may need the most help. The homeless who need shelter, warmth, and food certainly need assistance. We are glad to be able to bring attention to the REACH Cold Weather Shelter in Hagerstown. Raising some money to help with the shelter's expenses is a good reminder to all of us, of the needs of the less fortunate."
Wagner is a former Miss Western Maryland and also a former Miss Teen Maryland. She is a graduate of Towson University.
The fashion show was organized by Brenda Dalton of RoseBrooke Studio and Jodi Columbo of Beyond Ordinary Event & Wedding Planning. RoseBrooke Studio worked with Bulls and Bears Restaurant to host the event, along with several local clothing and fashion stores. The main financial sponsor of the fundraiser was the Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
"This was a great event to not only help bring people to stores and restaurants in the City Center area of Downtown Hagerstown, but it was for a good cause. The CVB was glad to be involved," said Convention and Bureau President and CEO Tom Riford. Organizers are already planning a second annual event for 2011.

The Hagerstown-native NFL cheerleader is Danielle Wagner of the Seattle Seahawks (Seattle Sea Gals). Her web page and bio is here: Wagner is the daughter of Brenda Dalton, and was visiting her hometown during the holiday break.
