Graduation Dates for WCPS Class of 2010; Last Day of School - June 8

Hagerstown, MD (April 21, 2010): A schedule of graduation dates, times and locations for students in the Class of 2010 has been announced by the Washington County Public Schools. The first students to graduate will be from the Marshall Street School and the Washington County Job Development Program on Thursday, May 20, 2010, at 10am at Hagerstown Community College's Kepler Theatre. The full schedule of graduation ceremonies follows:
* Marshall Street School/Washington County Job Development Program, May 20, 10am at the HCC's Kepler Theatre
* Evening High, May 27, 7pm at the Washington County Technical High.
* Washington County Technical High, June 1, at 7pm at HCC's ARCC
* Hancock High, June 3, 6pm at Hancock High
* Clear Spring High, June 3, 7pm at Clear Spring High
* Williamsport High, June 3, 7pm at HCC's ARCC
* Boonsboro High, June 4, 9am at HCC's ARCC
* North Hagerstown High, June 4, 10am at North Hagerstown High
* South Hagerstown High, June 4, 11am at South Hagerstown High
* Smithsburg High, June 4, 2pm at Maryland Theatre
The last day of the 2009-2010 school year is June 8, 2010, pending any future day or days that force the system to close because of inclement weather or other reasons. To accommodate daytime graduation activities on Friday, June 4, Boonsboro, North Hagerstown, Smithsburg and South Hagerstown high schools will be closed for all students. Instruction will take place in all other WCPS schools on that day, and classes resume at all schools on Monday, June 7. The tentative last day of school on June 8 will be a 2 1/2 hour early dismissal for students. The last day for teachers is June 9.
