Annual Raffle Fundraiser
Hagerstown, MD: Washington County Museum of Fine Arts launched its annual raffle fundraiser on Wednesday, March 3, 2010. Three prizes will be awarded at a drawing planned for Sunday, May 30th at 4pm in the Museum's Bowman concert gallery. Prizes this year include a Grand prize Jewelry Shopping spree at R. Bruce Carson Jewelers valued at $5,000, a unique "Getaway" package valued at $500.00 as the second prize, which includes one night stay at the Homewood Suites hotel, Dillard's Limo transportation to/from home and to/from dinner at Nick's Airport Inn where a $100 gift certificate towards dinner awaits the winner, and an original Dennis Clarke watercolor entitled Boothbay Harbor, framed (22" x 30") and valued at $400 as the third place prize.
Tickets cost $25 each, 3 tickets for $50.00 or 5 tickets for $75.00. Tickets are available through the Museum's website, www.wcmfa.org, at the Museum during public viewing hours.
"We appreciate the donation of these prizes from area businesses and individuals," reports Museum Director Rebecca Massie Lane. "This is an important fundraiser in support of the region's nationally accredited Fine Arts Museum, and helps keep the Museum's admission Free." "Again, this year, we will reward the top ticket seller with a number of prizes, including a free Museum Art School class, an original Jack Perlmutter print, and a gift certificate for 2 free tickets to any Maryland Symphony Orchestra Masterworks Concert during the 2010-2011 season, courtesy of the MSO" says Massie Lane. Interested sellers should contact the Museum for Raffle ticket bundles. Individuals are under no obligation to purchase tickets and should return any unsold tickets to the Museum prior to the May 30th drawing.
