Life Is About Making Choices!

Alternative choices! That's a term we hear often these days! There is talk about alternative choices of fuel! There are alternative choices of types of automobiles! There are alternative choices in medical treatments!
And, perhaps there are others I have failed to mention. But I want to call your attention to Alternative Choices LLC, a Natural Health Food and Supplements store located at 32 N. Allison Street in Greencastle, PA.
Owner, Tammy Young, opened the store 7-years ago, to provide the public with alternative choices for those people who choose natural options for healing. A native resident, Ms. Young, now lives in Williamson, PA. has been working in the natural health food field for 19-years. She is a Certified Natural Health Professional (CNHP).
"As part of my CNHP certification, I continue to attend classes on various alternative healing methods in order to better educate myself so I can share with my customers what I have learned", she said. "We have literature on many health issues available for our customers."
One service, offered at Ms. Young's store, is the availability for an appointment with a Clinical Certified Iridologist. Iridology was discovered and developed by those in the medical profession.
It is not a method of treatment, but a diagnostic tool. It is an alternative medicine technique where patterns, colors, and other characteristics of the iris can be examined to determine information about a patient's systemic health.
"Free seminars are conducted throughout the year on various topics and alternative therapies for our customers" Young said.
Over fifty years ago, people were still living a healthy lifestyle, which included a well-rounded diet as well as regular exercise. Nowadays, if you want to live a healthy lifestyle, you need to make an extra effort to do so. It often means going to a gym for the exercise and going to a good health food store, to find the best health food.
Is this the situation in your family? Are you forever looking for healthy foods for you and your family, and are tired of scouring the grocery store aisles in search of meaningful nutrition? If so, you may want to visit Alternative Choices. Those nutritious foods you were looking for are available there. Alternative Choices friendly and informative staff is available to assist their customers to find the right items for their individual needs.
Young said, "Food allergies seem to be a big issue. When we know the customer's problems, we can make helpful suggestions."
There is a wide selection of organic foods, wheat/gluten free foods, teas, herbal remedies, bulk herbs, vitamins, health and beauty aids, children's supplements, aromatherapy, and homeopathy items.
Young is very concerned about the chemicals being added to food. She said," If you are trying to avoid refined and processed food we have dozens of products made with whole grain. They taste great without the sugar, fat and salt other products have. Life is about making choices! It's your health, your life, your choice."
In addition to health foods and many health essentials, Alternative Choices carries Leaning Tree greeting cards, and assortment of gift items. Among these items is an assortment of women's purses imported from Nepal. These products were hand-made, by women, from hemp and recycled silk. They are fair trade approved which guarantees that the women creating these items were given a fair wage for their labor.
"And, we even carry a special line of healthy food for your pets," Young exclaimed.
Alternative Choices offers a frequent buyers program on supplement sales. A record is kept of the customer's purchases, and upon their sixth purchase a $5 discount is given for future supplement purchases. "Also, everyday is a saving day for seniors as they receive a 10% discount on all their supplement purchases," Young said.
Alternative Choices is open Monday thru Friday 9 am to 6 pm, Saturday 10 am to 5 pm. If driving from out of town, take I-81, exit 5 then west on Baltimore Street approximately 4 blocks. Located behind Greencastle Coffee Roasters with an ample parking lot.
