Maureen Taylor, owner of Shamrock Inn, and several volunteers, held a fundraiser at the inn with the intention of helping students get school supplies. "We had placed a jug at the bar for the past three weeks and hit all the sales papers for school supplies," said Taylor. "The patrons loved the idea and wanted to help the little children. It is a time when everyone pitches in and helps others. My granddaughter helped with putting them in piles by each grade."
The fundraiser was such a success the fundraiser enabled them to get just about everything that was listed on each grade slip from the school. "We did bags for 5 students for each grade (K-5)," Taylor said.
