Hagerstown-Washington County Calendar of Events Just Released, April 2009 through September 2009

(Hagerstown, MD): The Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) has just released the April through September 2009 edition of its Calendar of Events. Nearly 50,000 copies of the fold-out Calendar of Events are being distributed by the CVB.
Including in all the days covered by the brochure are more than 250 Washington County events. The brochure lists exhibits at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, Mansion House Art Gallery events, Discovery Station activities and happenings, Washington County Playhouse and also Potomac Playmakers performances, City of Hagerstown events, Fort Frederick events, and performances at area theatres including the Maryland Theatre. The schedules for the Hagerstown Suns, the Maryland Symphony Orchestra, events at local national and state parks, Hager House activities, Discovery Station special events, and also the Pen Mar Park Concert series are included.
Concerts, festivals, special exhibits, dances, races, lectures, craft shows, historical interpretation events, parades, and celebrations are all detailed, along with contact information, times, and more!
The Calendar of Events is produced twice per year by the CVB. It is designed by Power Marketing and features happenings from throughout Washington County. The Calendar of Events is available free of charge from the Visitor Welcome Center in downtown Hagerstown and from many CVB member businesses, including hotels, restaurants, and retail businesses. Tens of thousands of people who specifically request it, receive the calendar of events brochures through the mail.

The Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization whose mission is to help attract visitors to Hagerstown and Washington County. The CVB helps to create vibrant growth for the local economy by promoting, developing, and expanding the local visitor industry. Washington County is part of the Heart of the Civil War Heritage Area and the Journey Through Hallowed Ground National Heritage Area. This year, observances and commemorations are scheduled for the 150th Anniversary of John Brown's Raid on Harpers Ferry.
