Valley Mall Announces February Event Lineup

February 4, 2009, Hagerstown, MD: Representatives from Valley Mall today announced the mall's February event lineup:
Saturday, February 14, 10am to 3pm: Boy Scouts of America Derby Day
Guests are invited to join the Mason-Dixon Council of the Boy Scouts in Valley Mall's Center Court to compete in their annual Pinewood Derby, Rain Gutter Regatta and Space Derby. Guests can also learn how to become a Boy Scout and what the Scouts do for the community. More than 300 Boy Scouts will be attending the event.
Saturday, February 14, 11am to 1pm: Just Mom & Me Event: Every Beat Counts
Just Mom & Me members are invited to a special Valentine's event. Children three to eight years-of-age are invited to make a heart-filled Valentine for Mom, learn a heart-health recipe and other ways to stay healthy. Moms will also enjoy "healthy" discounts. Parents can register at the Guest Services booth or at the event.
Wednesday, February 18 through Friday, February 20: Race-A-Rama Hagerstown Speedway Show
Cars from Hagerstown Speedway will be on display throughout the mall for racing enthusiasts of all ages.
Saturday, February 21: Great Outdoors Show
Guests are invited to learn about the latest trends in outdoor recreation from vendors in a variety of specialties including diving, water recreation and ATVs.
Wednesday, February 25, 7pm: Washington County Free Library Teen Idol Auditions
Auditions will be held in the Food Court for the Washington Country Fee Library Teen Idol. For more information on how to register, contact the Washington County Free Library at 301-739-3250.
Friday, February 27-Sunday, March 1: Jonas Brothers Winter Fest Weekend with Phantom Shadow - Friday from 7 to 9pm and Saturday from 1 to 3pm
Activities include a Jonas Brothers look-alike contest, a trivia contest and karaoke as well as games and activities throughout the mall. Guests can also enter to win free tickets to the Jonas Brothers 3D Concert.
"We are eager to kick off the new year with a variety of fun-filled activities and events," said Julie Rohm, general manager for Valley Mall. "We have an exciting schedule of special events planned for 2009 to keep our mall shoppers entertained throughout the year."
